Dear SIDS Alliance,

Thank you for sending me information on your June workshop. Unfortunately, for me you’re ten years too late... I gave up my paramedic certification as a result of a SIDS call that pretty much took a part of me with it. These experiences just don't go away... Providing a forum to help medical professionals deal and cope with type of trauma is something that needs to be dealt with. Many firefighters like myself just kind of deal with things in our own way and find things to get you back on track.

I probably won't be able to attend your conference but applaud your effort to give the right tools to both help us and enable us to help others. Thank you. I will make sure that your workshop information is distributed among our departments paramedics.

Dear SIDS Alliance,

I've just started building the website for the Northern Virginia SIDS Alliance (www.skyfamily.com/nvsa) - I only hope that in time it could be a fraction as good as your site!

Congratulations, and thank you for putting such an effort towards the cause.

Laurel

Dear Alliance,

I attended the conference held in Tempe. I was there as a professional but could not help feeling a bond with those around me. This truly was a life changing experience that I have not yet been able to express to anyone in words. Please add me to your mailing list for SIDS Scoop.

Dear Joanne and Alliance,

I would just like to thank you for your wonderful website. A friend and former colleague of mine just gave birth to her stillborn daughter only days before she was due. Those of us who knew her were devestated, as she is loved by so many. I had written about ten drafts of different letters trying to express my condolences, but nothing seemed to fit. Then, I checked out your website. Thank you so much for the "Do's and Dont’s" column. It really helped me figure out what to say to my friend during this heartbreaking and devestating time. Thank you for helping those of us who cannot always express our emotions to do so a little more clearly.

Sincerely,
Jennifer
