The Mailbox

Hello.

I'm Stacy Kohm with the developing SIDS Alliance of Georgia and have recently had a referral for a newly bereaved family who knows very little English. While I have Risk Reduction info, I was wondering if anybody knows of some Bereavement resources I could offer to this family.

HI Stacy,

We have a web page at www.azsids.org and on the main page is a link to our spanish site. We have a newsletter, family stories and grief support information available there. I hope this helps! You may print and copy any information!

Our sympathies to the family,
Joanne Cacciatore, Director

Dear AZ SIDS Alliance,

I got SIDS Scoop last week and I'd like to take the time to let you know that the story about the little boy who sang to his sister touched me. Now I find myself singing 'You are my Sunshine', it brightens my day just thinking about it.

God Bless,
Jennifer

Dear SIDS Alliance,

My local Bereaved Families of Ontario ( I am in Canada) told several of us about this [Kindness] project. I think it is great!!!! I have had 3 miscarriages, and often have a hard time finding ways to remember them that will also affect other people. This seems so perfect. I would like to order some of the cards.

Thank you for your help. This is a wonderful project you have going!!!

Nancy Lomax

P.S. I was planning to mention the project in a newsletter I am involved with, Pen Parents of Canada.

Dear Arizona SIDS Alliance,

Enclosed is my check for the Kindness Project. My son Sam died of SIDS on 4.27.98. I think this is a wonderful idea and I can't wait to use them!

My nephew died on September 29, 1997 and today is his 1st birthday. My husband and I wrote him a poem.

To Our Jonah

You entered this life and brought with you such joy,
Our pecious nephew, our precious boy.
You left in such a hurry without a chance to say good-bye,
But Jesus was calling and we understand why.
We see that He knows all things and He was protecting you,
In drawing you near Him no pain you will go thru .
So play with the angels and dance in the clouds,
We'll see you in heaven when the trumpet sounds.

Love you forever, Aunt Vicki & Uncle Jim

This is a pain I never thought I would ever feel. I'm not even sure how to describe it. Pray for my brother and his wife, that God would give them some relief.

Sincerely,
Vicki Rodgers, Jonah’s Aunt

Dear Arizona SIDS Alliance,

Gee, this webpage is great. I have lost track of the time just surfing thorugh it. It is very well written and very informative. I sure hope you do not mind but I am adding this link on my son's memorial [web] page.

I would be happy to help out in any way I can. I am a SIDS mother. I lost my precious son to SIDS "Sudden Infant Death Syndrome" I would like to make myself available to talk to any SIDS parents.

Thank-you,
